more wedding fancies

It really feels like everything is starting to fall into place! Last week I received my Mini Flapper hairpiece and now this week my bracelet and earrings were finally ready! Thanks to one of my fave stops on Queen Street, Claude from The Beadery agreed to make some gorgeous jewelery for me! I'm in love with what he's done! I can't believe I still have to wait 5 months to wear the jewelery, the shoes, my hairpiece, my dress AND my vogue cheek!

it's easy being green

I recently came across these pretty eco-friendly wedding dresses created by Canadian designer Margaret MacLeod. These little numbers are made from organic, sustainable and recycled fabrics like hemp and silk. And just as importantly, they don't scrimp on style - the gowns are both feminine and flowy and lovely.

Sorry Kermie...but with these lovely gown options, it's easy being green!

kate hudson's wedding dress in you, me and dupree

I love love love the wedding dress that Kate Hudson wears for 10 seconds in the movie You, Me and Dupree. I spent many a night (and a few work days) searching long and hard for it on the internet. Shamefully I was only able to come up with this picture of the top half of her dress. Can you believe that with all the hideous things posted out there, there was only this one measly pic of the most fab dress ever?! For a moment it kind of made me feel like I was special and had some really snazzy eye for spotting unique finds. But then my short-lived bubble was popped as I noticed there were hundreds of people talking on chat rooms about this dress because they too had equally astute snazzy eyes that also noticed the 10 second wedding dress. Alas...what it comes down to is that they might have equally snazzy eyes but they do not have an equally tech saavy sister who just happened to be able to download the movie and capture some stills of the dress of my dreams so I was able to have a seamstress replicate it for me! {UPDATE!
